**Performing with guest artists Solstice Dance Company**
The Company is very excited to present a retrospective of favorite dances created since it’s inception in 1979. An award-winning choreographer, Anahid Sofian and her Company have been acclaimed for their versatility and ability to perform in a wide range of styles, from the traditional to contemporary interpretations, incorporating elements from ballet, modem dance and jazz. Their repertoire is unique and original with dances inspired by the cultures of the Near and Middle East — Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, P…ersia, Armenia, Greece, Uzbekistan and numerous renditions of the Oriental dance. They have been featured in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Theatre of Riverside Church, Town Hall, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, and for over 10 years at the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts. Be sure to save the date and come celebrate with a fabulous cast of 20 dancers and seven musicians!

SPICEBOX: a dance journey of the senses…
Jess arrives home to her shoebox apartment after a long day fighting her way through snow and other New Yorkers where she is surprised to receive a package from her grandmother. She carefully opens the package, and a wonderful aroma tumbles out from a small wooden spicebox.
A feast for the senses and delight for the eyes, Spicebox is an all-new theatrical belly dance production directed by Dena Stevens of Shazadi Dance Project and originally written and produced by Elisabeth Wilhelm, and it will warm you… from your fingers to your toes.
